SP Page Builder RC1 is here!

It’s official! Today we’re announcing the SP Page Builder RC1 release! We’ve allowed our customers to use and test the Beta 1 and 2 versions for a few weeks now and received great feedback. Is it production ready? We think so! Some of our customers are already using it in production without problems. We still plan to release  RC2 before SP Page Builder stable will be feature complete.

With the RC1 release come few cool new features and bug fixes:

  • Save as copy -  allows you to open an page and then save it as a copy. This is a great time saving feature when you are creating a new page which should look similar.
  • Multilingual support - Sp Page Builder includes a basic way to implement a multi-language site. The language setting allows you to assign the page to all languages or to one specific language.
  • Open Graph support - enables any page to become a rich object in a social graph. It uses Open Graph Title, Image and Description field - this option adds Open Graph tags in HTML which can help Facebook and Google+ decide which image should be taken. After implementing Open Graph tags, You will be able to increase your  Facebook traffic 2x times, simply because now there will be an image next to text.
  • SEO improved - support for meta data, meta description and meta keywords
  • ACL - an access level which determines who will be able to see the page. You can read the Users Management chapter in book(s) about Joomla! for more information.

Would like to see some infos and details about the "load page template" feature in pro version. The online documentation link has none, yet. Does it have a save or explicite manager? How easy is it to add and provide my own page templates? Particular in regards of distribution with a custom J! template TIA!

Open Graph: Nice to have. But it requires to fill out the same data twice (in most cases). Is it possible to connect this feature to the respective item types? i.e. single image, simple text, textarea. Either by selecting existing item types in the OG parameter, or vice-versa and add an OG checkbox to the item type itself?! i.e. user this image as OG picture YES/NO.

SP Page Builder coded perfectly to avoid conflicts with other extensions. But if that plugin coded wrong then it could create a problem. Please contact with the extension developer. Thanks
