Helix Ultimate 2.0 Alpha 3 Released With Frontend Drag & Drop Menu Builder

Good day, Joomlers! Let’s start the new year with some amazing news. As you can already guess from the title, we’ve got something exciting to share with you today. Your favorite template framework - Helix Ultimate 2.0 Alpha 3 is released as of today! This marks an advancement in the Helix Ultimate 2.0 journey and a sign we are a step closer to the stable version.

Today’s (January 12) Alpha version is an experimental release and not ready for production sites. We wholeheartedly appreciate your interest in Helix Ultimate 2.0. You are invited to try this Alpha version, but DON’T use it on a production site.

I’m sure you can already tell from the last two releases that the new Helix Ultimate 2.0 will be a game-changer! We have improved the codebase entirely, added a bunch of new exciting features, and are working tirelessly to bring you the ultimate template framework for Joomla. If you still haven’t checked out the alpha 2 release notes, do catch up on the previous changes as well.

So, without further ado, let’s find out what today’s release has in store for you.

Frontend Drag & Drop Menu Builder

To make your Joomla website menu completely manageable from the frontend, we have added a frontend drag & drop menu builder to the Helix Ultimate 2.0. This will easily let you create and manage your menu items without having to go through the complex process of creating menus from the backend.

Add menu items: Create menu items the easiest and the fastest way with the Helix Ultimate 2.0 frontend drag & drop menu builder. To do that, from the Navigation tab of the frontend editor simply click on Add New Item to create new menu items.

Manage menu items: You can also manage the menu items from the frontend drag & drop menu builder. Easily edit or delete the menu items and see the changes in real-time.

Create multi-level menus: That’s not all, it will be easier than ever to create multi-level drop-down menus. To make a menu a child of another item, simply drag the menu item slightly under the parent. The nested items will appear as child menu items on the frontend of your Joomla website. Easy, isn’t it?
