Keep your eyes on our blog and our newsletters for more updates on Helix Ultimate 2.0 and releases. Happy developing!
Warning: This is an experimental build intended for testing purposes. Please don't use this experimental version in production sites!
I am testing the new update and I only see that the headers have been changed a bit, and the PHP error of one of them has been fixed, They could add more off-canvas options in terms of button styles and more design options for the blog
helix is my favorite framework, what I would like is more flexibility when creating layouts, with the possibility of creating sections with more than 2 rows using the CUSTOM option: For example 6 + 6 + 4 + 8
FYI your newsletter.joomshaper.com have an hosting error.
Will you implement a layout design with left column that could be used as a full left column menu type too? Thats really something missing so you can set up a menu column going down the whole page(s). Or is there any tutorial if HU 2.0 can solve this?
Documentation for Helix Ultimate 2.0 is planned. I will start creating next week, I also wait for the first beta version to be sure that all major features are included. We have to focus on WCAG aspects as well.
Thks will check that tutorial. Would be nice to have a collapsible vertical menu with a arrow to open and close that vertical menu. And also with drop downs below the menu headings for second/third drop downs etc
I seem to have an issue with the language file. The parameters in Template-Options/Basic are not converted from the database names:

One of the options that you should include is that the menu could be displayed on the sides as in this template http://demo.joomshaper.com/?template=fixter
"One of the options that you should include is that the menu could be displayed on the sides as in this template http://demo.joomshaper.com/?template=fixter"
question: if i have set a ICON for a menu, how can i disable this again? i do not find some option to clear a icon once it is set to a menu in the mega-menu editor?
Thank you for your request @Ximware. Currently, we have no plan to implement a left or right sidebar. But I've added this to our queue. We may do this in the next version.
IMHO, it doesn't make much sense to include "thematic" homepage variations like these... actually, they differ in photos and the layout/placement is not necessarily representative for a specific theme/niche. Helix is a blank framework, open for any thematic usage. I would keep it generic. Don't get me wrong, I am not against some examples in the quickstart package, but then it should be really different layouts for different purposes: Magazine, Blog, Portfolio, Personal CV, Shop, Promo/Landing page etc.
Hi,
just a question,
Does it makes sense to start building a new website today using HU 2.0 Alpha7, and then update once HU2.0 stable version, or start with the actual stable version HU1.1 and migrate to H2.0 stable later ? (website will be turn on production later)
Thks

Hi guys! First of all, thank you for your work! I look forward to it... I just want to offer a couple of ideas for further improvements to additional fields or something similar to ACF PRO from Wordpress ? I don't speak much English, but I want you to bend Wordpress :)) can you also release a form constructor similar to Balbooa Forms or modify the SPB form constructor ) but this is so my wishes - I really like your work and I am ready to use each of your extensions, but sometimes they are not enough)
You should keep to the stable version - by all means, do the testing on a separate site but don't use alpha or beta releases in production sites. (not sure you can even upgrade from alpha/beta/RC to stable).
How can i set the color from the burger icon and the cross icon if the sidebar menu is open?
right now it is always black and i have to change this to get conform with my site design.
T4 has that possibility.

Exactly!
Please implement left and right sidebar, so that I can make dashboard templates, admin templates or templates kind Dylan.
