Change Colour Of Search Text And X On Search Box

Hi Guys,
Just wondering how I change the colour of the search text and also the blue X in the search box - can't seem to figure out how to change this!!!

to fix text color - you have to use Custom CSS
#sp-bottom .form-control::placeholder,
#sp-bottom .form-control, #sp-bottom input,
#mod-search-searchword96
{color: #eee !important; border: 1px solid #eee;}#eee - is light grey, you can use white instead (#fff).

Accepted AnswerI don't see x icon (Firefox PC), so maybe it's from the browser (Chrome etc.) styles. It's not styled by template, so personally I cannot help.

Just wondering about also changing the colour of the blue X icon on the right of the search box - usually these types of icons are in the :after CSS but I can't seem to find anywhere to change this element.
