Modules Assigned To Home Page Only Showing On Edit Views For All Pages

SP Page Builder 1 year ago

Using SP Page Builder 4.0.6 and Helix Ultimate 2.0.11 I've a slideshow module assigned only to show on the home page (Advanced Module Manger), however when I try to edit any article in Page Builder, it shows in the edit view. I've got to show the client how to make changes in a couple days and would like this working properly.

Thoughts?

Hi, Thanks. Here is the screenshot. The left is how the page should look, the right shows the home page slideshow coming up in page builder edit mode https://prnt.sc/wdWSMmncsen7

Good afternoon,

What have you used here (conditions)? And where is menu assignment? With menu assignment options, this issue does not occur. I have checked on my end.

I do have the menu assignment on there to include the home page only and exclude on tablets and mobile. Now it is showing a huge blank space but still references the 'Main Slider' module https://prnt.sc/HGMVRDlqNaOc

I want to know what plugin have you used here and where is menu assignment options? Maybe it is conflicting with SP Page Builder. Normally, menu assignment works fine.

Please take a full site backup with Akeeba Backup in ZIP format and share here. Follow this tutorial. I need to check this on my localhost.

I have got an update from the developer team. If you assign any module to your home menu or default menu item, then it will be shown on every page edit mode. Because SP Page Builder edit mode opens the pages on the default menu item. If you assign the module to other menu items, then it will be okay. This is the natural behavior of SP Page Builder.

I had a discussion yesterday with the developer team. I have asked them to re-think about the issue and find a good solution for it.
