Ok I know that. my question is rather: how does it find related articles? It would be logical that we could decide the courses in relation but there is no option for that. Therefore I assume that they appear according to the title? It is not very relevant to practice like this.

You can turn on/off related course option and number of related course from the global options of your SP LMS.
