Hello,

After latest Joomla update, the google maps adon stoped working. The script src is wrong (it becomes relative to website). I have forced to change the method on parser in order to work.

As I said earlier, the only quick solution for you is to install an additional compression extension, even a free one.

I cannot edit template core files here. Developers task only.

It is not from Google.

The compression replaces Google url with my site url because the script does not end with .js extension.

Refused to execute script from 'https://hubit.gr/maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?callback=initMaps&key=xxx' because its MIME type ('text/html') is not executable, and strict MIME type checking is enabled.

sorry, no more ideas, I don't see any other js scripts that may load part code for the map. All seems to be external from Google.

Of course I could use another plugin, but since there is an option, shouldn't that option work? Or let me exclude some scripts?

Yes, in that case Disabled JS compression from Template Options, indeed it may harm some scripts.

But you can use other compression tools > component or plugin, more safer.

After a single post on Joomla issues, they asked me to close the theme's js compresion and the link worked just fine. So it is theme related (wimble) and breaks my entire site. I cannot exclude the maps api from option textare as it is not recognized.

After Joomla update the error appeared. Maybe they messed something. I will reach out to them.

Thank you!

Hi Vangelis,

but in last SPPB update (4.0.8) Google Map addon code wasn't touch.

About Joomla errors - hmm...maybe: forum.joomla.org
