How To Change The Thousands Separator Form Comma To Dot?

Hello Support team,

I started with the empire-quickstart, then managed to get, with help of https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/joomla-extensions/sp-property/faq-customization, a translation into Dutch.

The only thing that is not correct yet is the thousand seperator. With a real estate price of USD100,000 I want it shown as EUR100.000.

Where can I change the thousand , (comma) to a . (dot)?

(the website is still on a localhost)

This requires code customization!

You need to go to the following location: \components\com_spproperty\helpers\helper.php Then you may make the following change: commaTOdot.png Hope this will solve the issue for you.

Note: Code customization is prohibited here, customers need to do it personally.

Yes, this works! Thank you very much.

Question, is the helper.php updated/overwritten when installing a new version of the component? And wouldn't it be better/wiser to include the demand for a comma or a point in xx-XX.com_spproperty.sys.ini for example as COM_SPPROPERTY_CURRENCY_THOUSAND if possible? In this case, a user can choose which separator is wanted.
