A few issues after installing/customizing NewsPlus template

Featured Lock Resolved
I am switching to the NewsPlus template and have a couple of customization issues:

1. I am trying to add a new module position below the menu bar but above the news highlighter/search bar.

I have gone into the templatedetails.xml file and added the following (scorestream is the new module position I want to add):

<position>logo</position>
<position>top-add</position>
<position>scorestream</position>
<position>menu</position>

I went into the module I want to place there and chose the scorestream position.

The problem is when I go into the template to add the new row for scorestream I can't seem to add the module position so it appears on the page.

See the Module screenshotMODULE screenshot.

2. My logo and top-right ad are not centered. How can I adjust so they are both vertically centered? See LogoSearchLOGOSEARCH screenshot.

3. My search button appears on two lines. I have the search button and label (Search) on the first and the search box appears on the second. I'd like that all on one line. How can I make that happen? See LogoSearchLOGOSEARCH screenshot.

You can view the live template and code Templatehere.

Thank you.

Hi,
this template is based on Helix II, not Helix3, sorry for my friend mistake.
in that case please instal template Helix II : https://www.joomshaper.com/downloads/template/helix-ii
it will update your framework, and after all should be OK.
---
If you installed Helix3 already, please uninstall.

Thank you, installing Helix II allowed me to add the module position.

All that is left is aligning my logo and top add as shown here.

Hi there

The link is going to cPanel location. Can you send me site URL?

Please check out the top horizontal ad at http://www.ohiovarsity.com.

There is no spacing below it and the menu. When I adjust it using developer tools, it also adjusts the line height of my text, so I need a way to separate the two.

If I understand your question right, you want to remove extra line from top menu ?
Because I see a lot of space between rows.

If yes, this should help:

#sp-top-menu .nav-tabs {
border-bottom: 0;
margin-bottom: 0px;
}

That space was an issue, but that's not what I was asking.

My logo and the top ad are not centered vertically. The log is higher than the top ad, when I want their middles to be aligned.

See the enclosed screenshot. logo.png

Again, I found out how I could align it using developer tools, by changing the line height. The problem was that also adjust the line height in my content and made it unreadable.
