Accordion Add-On is buggy

Featured Lock Resolved Bug
Hi,
any know issues of the accordion plugin? I tried to alter content afterwards. First the changes of the content did not show up - it stayed the samen. Then I tried to duplicate an accordion item, delete one other and suddenly all contents were gone and I had to start all over again. Really annoying :(

It's buggy with JCE 2.6.15 as well. Keeps resetting to the standard accordion text.

Trying to add in a table and it keeps getting wiped.

Have tried using tinymce but there is no table icon to create a table??

Really? Maybe try from Chrome.
Sorry but with TinyMCE all work OK, I tested on 3 websites by now.
Try to add new Accordion.

HI Paul

Thanks,for looking at it.

I use Chrome and firefox.

Yes basic TinyMCE works fine, I understand now I need to alter the .js file to add table options to tinymce.

I'm was using Helix template and no other extensions on the site but jspagebuilder, jce editor.

I completely wiped the site and started again and had the same issue, over again. Have spent hours because I the new site I am building, I am trying to get finished.

Seems to just be an issue with accordion and jce editor.

Can I just say, everything appears to work fine with the accordion addon at first. It is only after you create a couple of slides and save it and try to create something that it all goes wrong. Just opening it up and adding some tabs, it all seems to be fine. Try to actually create a full working accordian with your own content on each page.

You really need to trust me, I have done everything cleared browser caches, tested everything to see if anything could be causing it, created new .htaccesss files even. We are doing you guys a favour by reporting bugs really.

Since then I have installed ultimate shortcode jspagebuilder integration and their accordion works perfectly.

Same issue here. How do I use TinyMCE for the accordions? Thanks!

Just make TinyMCE your default editor, then it will show in your accordion. Just that TinyMCE as an editor in SPPagebuilder is limited.

I've bought the ultimate shortcode extension, and installed the plugin to embed it in the sppagebuilder. Their accordion works fine with JCE Editor. It's about $30USD, I think it is worth it.

These guys must be busy always fixing problems because they don't seem to be able to sort this sort of stuff out very quickly. Whereas if you contact the guy from ultimate shortcodes he fixes anything pretty much straight away.

It's worth having the extra shortcodes anyway.

Thanks, David. I've already got TinyMCE set as the default under the Global Configurations section of Joomla, and still, no dice.

Appreciate your help and response all the same.

Best,

Chuck

Maybe set TinyMCE also in your Joomla User Profile - so it will be 100% guaranty that only that one will be load.

Hi Paul,

This is also set, and all the same, I cannot edit any tab content beyond the first item.

Thanks,

Chuck

That weird, most users after switch to TinyMCE they can.
On my test site I have only TinyMCE installed and no problem.
--
Please a simple test for me:
1) Add a new Accordion addon
2) Add there 2-3 items
3) Save
4) And try to edit
---
Do this from 2 browsers (of course no IE)

Works for new Accordions, but my issue is that I'm trying to edit an existing accordion. I know I can re-create it, but it's a really inefficient use of my time.

I wonder what would be with JCE 2.6.15 installed and "old" accordion addon edit mode :p

I had same problem with TinyMCE it did not work for me either.

I suggest download and reinstall old ver.of JCE 2.6.15 it should work.
