After update to latest SP Page release (v3.4.5 Pro) images on Slideshow addon are squeezed!

Featured Lock Resolved Bug
Today, after the update on one of my site to the latest SP Page release (v3.4.5 Pro), where I used on a lot of pages the Slideshow addon, all images are visualized squeezed.
Seem that the scaling of the images now it's not correct.
For example a image origlinally sized 263px X 358px is scaled to 334px X 385px.
The aspect ratio widht/height is not the same of the original.
It's a bug introduced by new version?
Thanks in advance.

Enrico

So, after considerable time jacking around with this, I found a setting for the individual slide items that allows you to physically set the size if the image. It's empty by default. You can manually set the proportions of your image this way.

Go to Slideshow, General Tab, Select a slide, then select an image item, then select the "style" tab. The first two fields are for sizing the image. Don't forget to click "accept" 15 times on the way out, and be sure to save it again at the end.

The code completely ignores the proportions of the image being added, and I'd call this either a bug or "unfinished"

Thank you Steve for this workaround. But I hope in a definitive solution from developers, because if on previous version all was ok now there's is a issue to resolve. The manual insertion of widht and height for all the images in all slideshow is a nightmare!

Hi Guys,

In first edition of Slideshow addon there was no default width for this reason the image was not showing in front-end editor so we added default width of image. So, from now you need to set width of the image to show proper image.

Thanks,
Mamun

Dear Manum,
it's not true that only the widht of the image is needed.
If you don't set also the height the resulting image is squeezed.

Yes, you are right. You need to set width and height. I forgot to mention height. Thanks for mention.

It's possible to implement a solution a solution like the one used (see allegated image please) by Jce Editor on image editor where you can flag the check "Proportional" for Dimensions and insert only the widht or heigth of te image. Otherwise it is necessary to calculate the right two values to be entered each time for example for the width if the slideshow has a fixed height

Thanks

Hi enrico,
"Proportional" for Dimensions and insert only the widht or heigth of te image.

We will keep this comment as suggestion. Also will try to implement in future.

Steve, on other hand it is feature but may be not for you. :)
Thanks,
Mamun

I don't think either that it is a feature that you have to set both width and height.
