Hi,

The Arabic Unitag is not only language pack I tried to uninstall and but components are dependent on it. Appreciate if you could see the attachment.

It's possible, but you have to uninstall a package.
if you don't know how check official Joomla documentation

I am very familiar with Joomla for over 12 years. I have uninstalled other language packages but cannot uninstall the Arabic pack. If you look at the error in the screen cap it says other components are dependent on this one.

Its ok never mind. Looks like you guys have glued this language pack to the quickstart version of the template.

Hi Jan,

This issue was 1 month ago. Its resolved. Why is there a another update?

Paul Frankowski - Staff

But all languages and language manager is from Joomla core, it's not Joomshaper product. We don't even speak Arabic.
---
Just disable Arabic language
then delete Ar folders.

Sorry my bad did not look at the date before writing

But also because someday another person are looking for the solution,

as you could see Paul Frankowski also supply better answer now
only difference is he writing about ar folder i am talking about uninstall the ar plugin

It's a question for Official Joomla Forum why uninstalling language may be problematic.
It's part of Joomla core.

Normaly i would say you are right

and then No A standard joomla pack only include English
but the quick-start pack include French and Arabic uni-tag
i agree it is an advantage for the end user if they need it
But since it are place inside the package by Joomshaper it is good style and service to provide an answer who to remove it and as you know Arabic use an extra plugin which not many know
so a answer like this in a forum where the question are place are like gold to the one that have the problem

a thing like this might be a good idea to put into the FAQ og ad to template documentation

But then again it just my opinion

Merry Christmas to you all

After years with Joomla, i can assure you language pack has never been a problem with it. How I solved the problem is simply to thrash the the Arabic and French menu items. Those were the elements preventing me from uninstalling the language packs. I have more trust in Joomla and its framework than any others. Anyway i use Falang extensions for the purpose. Where issues arise, i use other alternatives to Joomshaper's templates. I cannot afford my staff wasting production time trying to sort incompatibilities.

Honestly, the Helix frameworks needs complete overhaul and its good know that Joomshaper is starting work on it. in the meantime, more often than not, i have to switch to Joomla Framework to use other third party extensions.

Hello.
I allow myself to enter this discussion, because I have the same problem with these undesirable arabic language files in the template Folium. As it was impossible to remove them by the normal Joomla functions, I deleted them by FTP, for the frontend and admin, but in Extensions/Manage I have still 2 lines "Arabic Unitag". Impossible to uninstall : "The ArabicUnitag extension is part of a package which does not allow individual extensions to be uninstalled."

So how to get rid of them ?
And please, if you are sure you have to leave these files in your Quickstart packages, make that they can be uninstalled normally.

Use PHPMyAdmin or Adminer to remove the Arabic language from Joomla database.

Hi. After deleting all the arabic language files, I searched in PhpMyadmin, but nothing else containing "arabic".
But, in Extensions/Manage/Manage/, I have still a package ar-aa, Author Ashraf Damra, impossible to uninstall.
HI Django,

Try this. Reinstall the quick template. Thrash permanently any menu item specifically for the Arabic language. Go language setting under extensions and then uninstall the language. It may warn you that it cannot be installed. Then uninstall the package. I had this headache. I finally got rid of the crap following this sequence. The package will not uninstall as long as there are items in the

I getting fed up with this in every template form Joomshaper. I guess they put it in because the owners are from Bangladesh want to cater for their community.

Thanks, but I will not do all that, because I'm building this site, and I don't want to break it (although I make backups after every evolution). I hope this line in the extensions manager will not disturb the site.

Removing language -- cannot break Joomla, if this language is not used anywhere.
