Article background color change

Featured Lock Resolved
Joomla rookie here, but I have basic html and css experience in the past. I would much appreciate some help.

I have been looking through all of the css looking for the article body background color. I am at a loss. I have been randomly changing colors and testing to see if I can get lucky by finding the right one, but no luck yet. I know this is a simple css change, but I don't know which attribute or which css file to look for.

Also, would like to do a gradient on the slider background if that is possible as well. I don't want to do an image, just a css3 gradient. I think I can place this in the \templates\shaper_zaara\cscss3.css file, but I am unsure what attribute to asign it to, or if it is even possible.

TIA,

Jon

Well, I found the article background color. I found it by searching every single css file looking for the color tag #111, which is the standard template color for the article background. It was located in the template.css file. I changed mine to #EEE and added a "color:#555!important;" attribute as well. I wanted to control the text color on the article pages.

I am still looking for help on the gradient if anyone can help.

TIA,

Jon

Generally speaking, you can use Firebug extension for Firefox : using the icon looking like a screen with an arrow, you will get the attribute and CSS of the page or element you are pointing. ;)
