Featured Lock Resolved Issue
When using the simple image gallery in Joomla, the image is being overlay by it background after complete loaded.

It is same when I view in your demo link above.

Is it design to be so? As my expectation is to have the clear image pop-up and then the background color is only cover anything behind that image.

I am having the same issue. How can I get a good clear picture without being overlaid by the dark background. I don't need a dark background.

I had the same problem because it was calling out the wrong script file. There are 2 files in the SIG (Simpe Image Gallery) module folder/scripts, slimbox.js version 1.8 and slimbox_jquery.js. 2.04. Version 2.04 will give you give this problem. To test, I just renamed the file slimbox.js to slimbox_jquery.js and it worked.

Simple download the latest version and install via Extension Manager.

You don't need to uninstall the previous one, it'll automatically overide the old file and the image gallery will work perfectly fine.
Enjoy!

Also having the problem here. Tried Josh's solution but that just gave me a clear image on a grey background with no way to close the image other than using the back button. File names reverted and problem back at square one.

I'm also on the latest version.

Please help as I need a gallery on my site. SP Portfolio doesn't work at all so this is only option.

Hi,
in 'slimbox.css' line no 1, just replace the css code:

from:

#lbOverlay {
position: fixed;
z-index: 9999;
left: 0;
top: 0;
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
background-color: #000;
cursor: pointer;
}

replace to:

#lbOverlay {
position: fixed;
z-index: 9999;
left: 0;
top: 0;
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
background-color: inherit;
cursor: pointer;
}

hope it will be fixed.
