Best way to have multilingual content with SP LMS

Featured Lock Resolved
Hello,

What is the best way to have multilingual content with SP LMS?
I would like to translate all the "categories" and "courses" created in SP LMS.

I think the best is to duplicate content and select the good language.
If it is the best solution, could you add a button duplicate in SP LMS near the button "NEW".

Thanks.

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply. Process almost similar to Joomla's article. You have to make duplicate LMS items to build multilingual. Besides, If you cannot find out the translate strings of LMS, Please let me know.

-Thanks
Do you have a video or a tutorial wich explain how to do that?

Thanks
The difference between a joomla article and SP LMS is that in joomla article i have an option "association" where can inform joomla that an article has a translation.
In SP LMS I can create courses, teachers, categories in a language, but I don't know how to inform the system that the courses "French courses" = "Cours de français".

Hi Toufiq,

Thanks for your video, but if I open a course in the french version of my website:
french version of a course on my website
If I choose "English" in the language switcher on the top.

I haven't the good page.

Why?

Hi there, Please capture a screencast video and share it with me. Thanks
Hi,
Wich tool can I use to share a screencast video with you?

I have seen that there is duplicate category in the searching tool.
There is "French" and "Français" wich is the translation.

I want to have just "français" when I am on the french version of the website and "frecnh" when it is the english version of the website.
You can see the flag switcher on the top of the page, on your video there isn't this switcher.

Thanks

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply. Please follow the instructions.

Go to the file location and add this code
modules/mod_splms_advance_search/helper.php
https://prnt.sc/pywjx6

$query->where('language in (' . $db->quote(JFactory::getLanguage()->getTag()) . ',' . $db->quote('*') . ')');

-Thanks
Thanks, it's ok for the search module.
Must I redo this when there is an update or you add this in the next update of SP LMS?
Now my problem is when I enter in a course.
For example, if I go https://caplangues.sarl/v4/fr/language-programs/course/anglais-business.html when I switch to the english version (click on the english flag on the top), I want to have the same course translate in english, but I have a different thing.

I think it would be great if we could have something like the content association system of joomla for each SP LMS course.

Hi there, We are working on the LMS. A massive update is coming soon. Would you please share the difference between Eng & France? Thanks
It would be great if you could add a button "save as copy" or "duplicate" a course, for multilingual it's more easy for translating.

Hi there, I would request to you that, Please create a new post as feature request. Thanks
I have this course in the french version:
https://caplangues.sarl/v4/fr/language-programs/course/testfr.html

I have created the english version of the same course:
https://caplangues.sarl/v4/en/language-programs/course/testen.html

If I switch languages, it must switch between these 2 pages, but I don't have that.
Do you have a date for the massive update of SP LMS? Is it still for 2019?

Our new website must be online for start of 2020.

Hi there, Thanks for your reply. We will try to release december's first week. Thanks
It comes with an education template or it is just an update of SP LMS?
If i go https://caplangues.sarl/v4/fr/nos-formations.html and I click on "Anglais (4)", the page https://caplangues.sarl/v4/fr/nos-formations/coursescategory/anglais.html.

I want to change the number of columns on this page (2 seems to be better).
How to change the number of columns for this page?

Thanks

Hi there, Are you talking about the Need for any help form? If yes, Please duplicate the module and assign it to another language. Thanks
Hi Toufiq,

No, it was a suggestion for this page course.png .
I would like to have the same "save as copy" than this page Saveascopy.png

I don't know why you don't use SP Pagebuilder as editor in SP LMS to create content of a course, it would be great if we could use Pagebuilder to edit the content of a course.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply. I hope the new version will be this feature.

-Thanks
Copy a course is useful when you have many courses to encode where there is low difference (for example: if you change only the level)
