Browser Title is showing unexpected name

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
Hi Support,

I'm currently working on a site with Page builder tool. I found that the browser title is showing a wrong title. Even though my back-end menu setting is set with a specific name, the front-end is still not showing the corresponding title. I have 3 languages on the site, only English version has this issue. I tried to recreated the menu but nothing worked well. Could you please take a look and let me know what's this problem? and how to fix this?

Thank you

Hi,
as may know - SPPB cannot decide about Browser title only Menu items settings.
So my suggestion is...
if you cannot find in menu settings, search phrase in database *

*PHPMyAdmin, Adminer
Hi,
SPPB is fairly useless without the ability to display the Browser Page Title because sites created with it will be at a significant disadvantage in Google search results. I've used Joomshaper for years and my earlier sites didn't have this issue. I would think that it would be a simple fix.

Actually we did try searching the database and tried to replace the text string before asking for help here. Unfortunately that text string was not found anywhere in the database, and it is really strange. This problem could be fixed by creating another menu item from scratch. However as mentioned by Scott, it should be a simple fix and we hope that it can be fixed.

To fix it always you have to know the source of the problem,
and here looks like Joomla or database cache issue somehow.

Not all bugs are always from us. Joomla is a complicated system. You should know that.

Thanks for the reply. Yes we understand that it might be an issue of the Joomla core itself. It won't always happen and we have to be fair to admin that this is not necessarily an issue of SP Page Builder.

I think it is related to the Joomla's menu component. When an item was duplicated, the resulted page of page builder used a random word for the browser title. This word is definately part of the website, but it is not a module title, article title, menu title or something we can find in the database. However you will know that it is part of the content since it is part of the website.

At the momnet, the only way to address this issue is to re-create the menu item. That should solve the problem,

Let's just
I think that I discovered the issue - at least on my end.
So, I re-created the menu item. It didn't work. However, I noticed that when the menu item is not the default, the Browser Page Title in the Page Display menu works properly. When I make the menu item the default, it uses the default menu title instead. I can't figure out how to fix it. So, the only page that isn't displaying the Browser Page Title correctly is the home page, since it is my default menu item. At least its working properly on the other pages, but it would be nice to have it work on the home page too.

This has nothing to do with SP Page Builder anyway and looks like a local problem on your site that needs investigation.
The Joomla install was with the MegaInc template. It sounds like the problem may having something to do with that which would still be a Joomshaper issue.

Switch to Protostar and check if it works there.
I checked. The problem is still there.

So if problem exist in Protostar as well.
This is wrong forum to solve your problem.
Joomshaper has been our exclusive vendor for Joomla sites for years. Joomla, MegaInc template, and SPPB3 were installed as a complete package. If not here, then where else do I go for support?

If it's not our software bug, what I can do ??
I downloaded and installed a clean Joomla 3.9.20 version directly from Joomla.org. The custom browser page title is working fine. That's why I don't think my issue is a Joomla bug. But I can't figure out why the custom browser page title doesn't work with the Joomshaper version when the home page is the default page. Otherwise, there is no problem.

Try with SEO extension, Sh404sef or similar.
I tried EFSEO, but it didn't change the browser page title either so I deleted the plug in. I don't want to slow the site or increase the security risk with tons of plugins since its just the home page that is the issue. I wish I would have discovered this issue earlier because I probably would have used another template. The site is all built out and I don't want to spend the time rebuilding it with another template. Lesson learned.

We have eventually found where the text string for the browser title is from.

In our case, the text string is come from another extension: "Breezing Form". We use SP Page Builder to build that page, and load the form as part of the page. We found that, the browser title will use the multi-lingual form title, instead of the Joomla menu title. The part used is shown here:

https://mrkr.io/s/5f25caeeb418f75038d82130/0

This is why we could not found it in the database, and why it is so difficult to pinpoint the issue, because it doesn't happen all the time.

My suggestion will be, check all extensions, like modules and plug-ins used for that page, and see whether one of such extension's "title" or a similar field will be used for your SP Page Builder's menu type's browser title.

I hope this feedback is helpful for the developer of SPPB too.

Thanks,
