Hi,
There is always alternative way...

Upload this same image from Joomla Media, then in template just choose it.
---
Make sure that logo format file is correct: jpg, gif or png.

thanks for screenshot, it looks like server setting problem or JS conflict:
and :

1) can you upload images in Joomla Media ?
2) please try from Chrome
3) Disable extra editors which you may have JCE, or others... try again.
4) What firewall component you have installed ?

Hi
I can upload via Joomla media
Tried Chrome - same issue

This website was originally built with shaper_empire template
I have uninstalled all the other templates (including admin other templates) and disabled any extensions i think could conflict
also tried installing jQuery Easy but it didn't help...

The more plugins you install the more possibility of problems.
----
do you have any extra plugin which is not core, and may block / make conflicts ?

read my points 3 and 4

Hi Paul

i think i found the problem
i have renamed the "images" folder to "images~" and created a new images folder
that seems to solve the problem
it might be that there were corrupt images in the images folder and that was the reason
