Cannot Edit Modules in Front End - ' Fatal error: Call to a member function get()...'

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
I'm using version 1.3 of Politist with Page Builder 1.4 and get the following error when trying to edit a module via the front end:

Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/site/public_html/templates/shaper_politist/index.php on line 33

A new window also opens (which displays the error) when trying to edit a module, which never occurs with other templates.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Please follow the below instruction.

1. Open your template index.php file & find out below code

menu_class = $menu->params->get('pageclass_sfx');

And replace the code with this

$menu_class = '';
if ($menu) {
$menu_class = $menu->params->get('pageclass_sfx');
}

-Thanks

Thanks for your reply Toufiq,

But the 'edit-module' is still opening in a new window vs. opening in its parent window as it did before (we prefer it opening in the parent window). Also, please let us know which file(s) were updates so that we may apply the fix to the live site.

Thanks Toufig,

Is it possible to launch the module-edit page in the parent window/tab vs. it opening a new tab?

Thanks

Hi, Thanks for your reply. This feature comes from by default joomla. Thanks

With this template (Politist), clicking the module icon to edit it opens a new tab. How do we change it so that it opens in the current tab?

Yes, we have that code in the template. When clicking on the 'edit module' icon it's still opening a new window vs. opening in the same.

I've updated to version 1.4 ... a new tab is STILL opening when clicking to edit the module, so it looks like nothing has been fixed.
