Carousel not working properly in Appico Template

Featured Lock Resolved Bug
Hello.

I'm using Appico template and started adding slides to the Carousel extension. Apparently everything worked fine, but when I press the controllers to get to another slide the Carousel goes insane. It doesn't stop anymore even if I put the mouse over the slide. It's easy to recreate this error, given the fact it also happens with the preview you guys have available in your site.

Also, I would like to know if there is a way to control the interval time of this slider.

Thank you.

Just to make sure we both talk about the same: Appico doesn't have "the Carousel extension". It has an instance of the SP Smart Slider module, out of the box called "Carousel slider" (please see my screenshot attached below).

Is it what you meant by "the Carousel extension"?

Alex

Yes, that's it. The problem is with SP Smart Slider module.

Hi Alex,

I'm working on the Quick Star Pack. I didn't change any settings besides the text and images.

But, as I said on my initial post, the problem is easily reproduced if you go to the demo of the template available online. Try pressing the link to the second slide as the attachment illustrates and see if you can now stop the carousel from "spinning". I can't.

Filipe

Given the fact I posted this bug in June... I think you had more than sufficient time to fix it...

Hi Filipe,

Apology for keeping you waiting on this. I just referred this thread to our core developers once again for you.

Another month passed and the bug is unfixed. I also have clients and it was unthinkable to me to live my clients with no answer for that long. The message you give me is: "we don't care, you are on your own".

Dear,

Thanks for your query. Please add below js inside if below file and path. If you can't reach there, please give me ftp access of your site.

modules\mod_sp_smart_slider\tmpl\carousel\js\bootstrap-carousel.js

Add below code after line on 71

$('.carousel').carousel({
pause: "true"
});

-Thanks

I added the code, and it looks more stable, but I still can't get it to stop if I put the mouse over the module.

But if you can tell me where can I configure the time for the slide to stop until showing the next slide it would solve my problem. Also, is there a way to turn the autoplay on?

Toufiq,

I sent you the info you asked via pm 3 days ago and the problem remains. The slider keeps rolling and there is no way to stop it. Even if it you can't make it to stop, I would be happy if I could set the time for it to pause between slides.

What I really don't understand is that a bug reported June 2015 and still unsolved is not on the top of your priorities.
