carousel using joomla content.

Featured Lock Resolved Task
Hi,
I often want to showcase articles like testimonials or staff and a carousel showing 4 or 5 sliding so that it will show them all would be ideal. I can do this if I create each in a separate carousel but not from Joomla Content ie using the intro image and text before the readmore line or title of article.
There are third party modules that will do this but as a future feature would it be possible to include Joomla articles as the source for all your carousels, sliders and galleries as well as individually made elements.

The problem at the moment is that if a new member of staff or testimonial is added to a category view then it will not be automatically included in the carousel, slider or gallery module. This makes for a lot of double handling recreating the content in a second area of the site and clients often dont realise that content then has to be updated in 2 different areas.

Allowing a category of articles and their assets to be the source of content for carousels, sliders and galleries would eliminate the double handling and also improve sites as we would not need to use 3rd party modules to achieve this.

Please do consider it when making any "module" in sppagebuilder

Any chance this might be something you guys are working on meanwhile?

Scratch what I wrote above this...

Just found the articles scroller addon with the news scroller addon mode in it! This is exactly what I needed...

In case anybody finds this post - you'll be able to find exactly what you want with this particular sp page builder pro addon!

Thanks for your valuable reply.

Hi,
Thanks for your suggestions. But did you tried our Articles slider addon which is available with the News365 template? You can check this.

Hi Sifat,
Thanks for getting back.
Yes I have in the past but that is a helix3 template and since ultimate came out there seems little point to use old templates as we are future proofing for Joomla 4.
It would be ideal if rather than build features into specific templates, those features were made into sppagebuilder and as stand alone modules and plugins so they can be ported to all templates from their introduction onwards.
This is the approach of several other template clubs and means the value of the work done on that months product lives on as it can be reused in the future.

Kind regards

Phil
