Category override for template

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
Hi, I need to create an override for the category blog view.

I have placed all the override files inside /templates/shaper_helixultimate/html/com_content/category/ but I cannot select the override in the back end.

Any clues?

Thanks,
Alex

Hi there,

Thanks for your query. Helix ultimate already override the Joomla content. If you wanna override more, then go to the file location

Hi Toufiq, thanks!

This is the exact directory I have placed my override in, but it has not become available in the back end.

The issue is not saving the override, but selecting it in the options. It won't show up.

Hi, so I managed to get the override in the options finally, but it seems to be completely ignored in the front end

Please check ROOT/mathimata , the article introtexts should not be appearing in the blog view, I completely removed the introtext php from the override.

Something is not right here, it's the first time I've had this kind of trouble.

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply. Please remove this code from this file.

templates/shaper_helixultimate/html/com_content/category/blog_item.php

<div class="article-introtext">
<?php echo $this->item->introtext; ?>
</div>

-Thanks

I am using the templates/shaper_helixultimate/html/com_content/category/lessons_item.php override and the code you suggested has been removed.

I do not want to make changes to the template's default blog_item.php file, because this controls how the ROOT/blog page is displayed.

Hi there,

Add this CSS code inside the custom.css file.

.itemid-129 .article-introtext {
display: none;
}

-Thanks

Hi there, thanks but this was easy to do from the start.
It's not a real solution though, because it's not an override.

Hi there, Yes, I know. You can apply it for the initial solution. Thanks

Ok, so Helix Ultimate does not support additional overrides. Correct?
