Changing the highlight color

Featured Lock Resolved Task
I really love the animated text heading. Is there any way to change the highlight color from black to another color?

Hi,
Shape Color - you can change from addon settings.
And
highlighted text, also from settings : Styling Options > Tab "Animated Text Style" > Color

Thank you for your reply, I may not have been clear enough. When using Highlighted text, it selects the text with a solid black box. IF you use the color option of the Animated Text, it changes the color of the text, not the box. I am looking to change the color of the solid black box.

Thank you in advance,
Tom

Paul,

Thanks again for your reply. I realized that I was not explaining myself well. I am using the 'Typing' animation, and I am looking to change the color of the black background. See the image attached.

Thanks again,
Tom

Maybe the best way for you would be... self-education
https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/which-line-of-css-i-have-to-edit-code-inspector-in-action

check what class is used, and override it.

Paul,

Thank you for your reply. I have used the inspector, in fact I use it all the time. The issue I had with this effect was that the black disappears so quickly that I can't seem to find the class to override. I was hoping you knew the class and could tell me a bit easier.

I will use the inspector. Sorry to have dragged this thread so long.

By default, there is no background color, so maybe it's from template style ??

But how can I know this by looking only at the screenshot, right.

I figured it out. The animated text changes to black just before it removes it and re-types the next option.
In case this helps someone else, I will post the .css class that can be edited.
You can change these parameters:

.animated-text-words-wrapper.selected {background: #000;} /*change the value to whatever you wish */
.animated-text-words-wrapper.selected .animated-text {color: #fff;} /*change the value to whatever you wish */

You can change the global settings in sppagebuilder.css. However, I changed the values in the Custom CSS of the Animated Text Addon.

I hope this helps.

Tom
