I have the same problem on my domain http://drs2.biz where the link takes you back to the disqus site and there is no comment box. Any further developments here?

You must have to specify discuss subdomain id.

I'm facing the same problem: No comment box is shown up. For one category, only the link BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS is displayed, for another category, I don't see anything.

settings:

plugin = enabled
comment engine = disqus
disqus subdomain = africaonabike.disqus.com (africaonabike is the website shortname which I registered in my disqus account)
developer mode = no

I would be very grateful for any advice.
