Continue-reading-function with SP Page Builder possible - How to solve issue?

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
Hi there,

I want to make a page similar to this one.
https://www.enerjob.de/enerjob-shop

But the article page, if you click on one of the articles shall look more modern and use functions like tabs, counting numbers, accordion eg. That is why I installed SP Pagebuilder. To have the articles styled better.

But is there any possiblity to make a service overview page like you see in the link?
So on the overview page I want to have blog of different articles/pages. The overview should include title. picture, introduction text, eg. (rating, price of the offer eg.)
So here I use Joomla articles and the continue-reading-function of the editor.

So is there anything similar that I can use for SP Pagebuilder pages or any workaround?

Hi Susanne.
You should install and enable SPPB integration for Joomla articles.
1.jpg
After that, in your article editor the switch appears.
2.jpg
Create an intro text in the standard editor.
3.jpg
Use standard means of joomla to upload intro image.
5.jpg
Then switch to SP PB editor and create the main body of the article.
4.jpg
An important point - save an article when you are in SP PB editor.

After these steps, you will get an intro text, which will be visible only in the blog articles but not inside of the article.

Hi Toufiq,

thanks for your answer. Unfortunately this one does not solve the problem. Because if I do it like this, the "introduction text" (these 100 or 200 words you set up) are also shown when you click on the article and read the article.
But in my case the introduction text is really a special introduction text, a kind of summary of the service. And as you see in the picture the first word of this introduction text would be "WORKSHOP", some text and later on the "Angebotbewertung" and "Anbieterbewertung" if I do it your way. But this does not belong to the article and the service description. It is only an information about the offer that is only shown on the blog/overview page but not in the article if you click on the article. If you click on the service the article starts with "Beim Fahrrad fahren kann man Transport und Bewegung optimal miteinander verbinden...". (see picture 68)

So do you have any solution for that?

Hi Toufiq,

the page is not online, that is why I can not provide any access. But I think I described the problem in the last message. Please have a look at the pictures, here it gets clear what I want.

One picture shows how the article looks in the backend.
And you see the article in the backend starting with "- WORKSHOP - Helfen Sie dabei...".
Then the continue-reading-function/continue-reading-line and the following text "Beim Fahrrad fahren kann man...".

The "WORKSHOP - Helfen Sie dabei ..." is the introduction text, that is shown on the overview page with the blog layout. Also some more additional info that is also in the article before the continue-reading-line.

If you now click on the article to read about the service in detail, the article starts after the continue reading function with "Beim Fahrrad fahren kann man...", not with "- WORKSHOP - Helfen Sie dabei..." e.g..

How can I do exact that same thing with SPPagebuilder pages instead of Joomla articles?

I can not create the issue because I do not know how it works.
Can you please have look at my last post with the pictures? And the post before. Here I described the problem. And I added the pictures to make everything clear.

I am not sure what I should create on this page to make it more clear. The pictures and text should describe everything.

Hi Toufiq,

like I already said. This does NOT work for me. I already explained that before. I mean in the video it say "You should not use the read-more." But I asked about how to use the read more!
So this video is okay, I understand what they do here, but it does not help for my issue.

I already said that and explained it with the picture. It would be great if you read my reply and have a look at the pictures so that we get going here.

Regards
Susanne

And with SPPB pages do this not possible. Only with joomla articles using SPPB article editor.

As well, you may come in handy that link https://www.joomshaper.com/forums/joomla-article-integration-full-width#reply-229928 that would make an appearance of SPPB articles the same as appearance of SPPB pages. But I'm not sure that it will work with your template. You can check. The code is designed to use Helix Ultimate.
