CSS3 Pie

Featured Lock Resolved

Just joined in the hope you would be willing to shed some light on css3pie on helix powered templates.

I just saw your reaction to this thread: http://www.joomshaper.com/forums/14-frequent/2693-border-radius-in-ie#2694, and unfortunately i haven't had a reaction yet to my own topic in the helix forum about pie: http://www.joomshaper.com/forums/35-helix/2663-css3-pie#2679

Point is that on pix (for example) the css3 is working in ie7/8 due to pie on the frontpage (the search area), but on for example the category blog page isn't.

As i said in my thread i now got it working on a local install by moving the pie files to the root, disable sef, and just calling it like this:

a.readon {
border:1px solid #ccc;
-moz-border-radius: 10px;
-webkit-border-radius: 10px;
border-radius: 10px;
box-shadow: rgba(0,0,0,0.4) 2px 2px;
behavior: url(http://localhost/helix/PIE.htc);

But i really would like it to work on a server as well with sef on.

I have seen your nifty way of incorporating pie into helix, and i hope you can tell me how to get it to work on all pages with sef on.

For reference, just fire up your demo and look at the frontpage and category blog, fp works, category blog not.

Thanks B)

All of our templates based on Helix Framework has built-in CSS3 support via PIE.
from the css directory open iecss3.css.php file and see the example of using PIE.
Let me give you an example of using PIE. Open css3.css file and you will see
.mod-search {

Now open the iecss3.css.php and you will see
.mod-search, input#mod-search-searchword{position:relative;behavior: url(<?php echo $url; ?>;)}

Thanks for your reply, i get it how it is supposed to work. One thing though, if i look on your demo site or on my unchanged local install of pix i see as attached in the screenshot. Ok, that is in compatibilty view, but i see the same on windows xp with a real ie8. Funnier even is when i press refresh css3 works fine on frontpage then, but even a refresh on the consecutive pages doesn't do it.

Please enlight me, i really like css3 and the way you have incorporated it, but at the same time no matter where i look (here, yootheme, rockettheme, themeforest) i always see very unpredictable css3 behavior. http://www.joomshaper.com/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/pix_pie.jpg

Open iec33.css.php file and look for the code
.adminform button,#adminForm button,.button,button[type=submit],input[type=submit],input[type=button]
{behavior: url(<?php echo $url; ?>;)}

and replace with

.adminform button,#adminForm button,.button,button[type=submit],input[type=submit],input[type=button]
{position:relative;behavior: url(<?php echo $url; ?>;)}

Hi, I was reading about PIE implementation and have question. I am using Helix Framework and my top menu in IE7 looks completely corrupted. I have no idea what to do - in IE8+ and in every other browser it looks fine. Any ideas?
My site URL: http://www.primepropertiesre.com

Thanks a lot.
