Custom Style colours not applying

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
Hi,

I have Helix Ultimate installed, and have gone into the template settings to change the preset to use the Custom Style.

Whatever I change for the colours never get applied - am I missing something?

Other areas are OK, logo, contact info etc., just not colours.

Thanks for any help.

Custom colours do not apply in the Presets section. I have to set them all via custom CSS.

Hi there,

Custom color is the custom color. Custom color is not relevant with preset color. If you use preset then you will get the presets color. If you use the custom color then you will get the custom color.

-Thanks

No I know that, I have chosen Custom and none of the custom colours I set get applied, I have to use custom CSS to get the colours to change.

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply.

That you did
1. Choose the custom color option
2. But, no color chosen
3. Do you wanna write down custom color css code inside custom.css file?

Please share a screenshot. Because of that your query is not clear for me.

-Thanks

Hi Toufiq.

I have gone in to template settings, enabled the Custom option for the colours.

I then set the colours in each section, but they are not applied at all.

In order for me to get the colours to change, I have at the moment had to add the to the custom CSS part of the template settings.

Screenshot attached of where I mean - I have these saved, but the template/website colours are the same as the default Helix Ultimate installation, unless I add the changes to the custom CSS area.

Hi,

I think you need to go in Advanced > SCSS > Compile SCSS to CSS. I think the custom colors don't work unless you activate that option. Once you're done with your colors you can remove it.

Hope this helps!

Yeah, I know that, but it sometimes works but sometimes it doesnt work when option "Compile SCSS to CSS" is still on.

hum.....this might sound stupid but have you tried ctrl-f5 for a hard refresh? It might be the cache....I know I sometimes need to hard refresh a few times even for my custom css to be loaded?

Why does this template create a cache file even when caching is disabled entirely within Joomla?

I've found that before I edit the template settings, I have to clear the Joomla cache as there is an entry there for the template. Once cleared, I can edit and save changes OK, but if I go back and edit the template settings without first clearing the cache, the template settings open the cached settings, then when I save it overwrites anything I had with the cached ones...meaning that if I forget to clear the cache, I lose any changes since the last cache clear...

I can't recall finding this issue with other JoomShaper templates so I'm not sure what the cause is here, surely the cache should not be being created unless it is turned on within Joomla? I don't even enable the cache plugin and settings until a site goes live.

Hi Everybody.
I've discovered the problem - the main reason to not showing the changes was Adblock software installed on my computer. After disabling the AdGuard the changes made by me are shown immediately.

This has been an issues for many years, was also an issue with old helix.
Its so buggy.
I just gave up and applied the changes into custom.css
No adblocker software is doing this

This worked for me, but I also had to compress the CSS and Javascript to get it to work.
Thanks
