Editor XTD buttons

Featured Lock Resolved Task
I would REALLY like to be able to use the Editor XTD buttons within the Page Builder. My customers would certainly find this an easier and more integrated method of being able to use the other components/plugins that we typically use.

I have been challenged to find another Page Builder that DOES allow for this and have come up empty until now. The T4 Framework from Joomlart will have a built-in Page Builder. At this time it is quite weak and definitely needs a LOT of work before it will be ready for use. But one thing that it has already in it is the ability to use the Editor XTD buttons (including the Read More feature I've asked about separately).

So - since there is something else coming out that will be free (based on the previous history of the T3 Framework product) that will do this feature. I don't care for their page builder at this time, but it seems like the sort of feature that would be useful to add to your product in order to stay competitive.

What do you think about the prospect of getting these (standard) Editor XTD buttons added to the Page Builder?

Hi,
What exactly button do you need?
Read more , Module , Article?

I hope you know, that they are connected with Articles ONLY.

Paul: This is not about some particular button, rather any Editor XTD button. Yes, module or article are possibilities, though we'd likely just use your own inclusion of those. Read More, as mentioned would be useful, yes, but there are other issues preventing the proper use of this with Page Builder (look for my other discussion about this).

Several component makers supply those XTD buttons though and without access to them, it is impossible to use the products. For example, Drop Files, Drop Pics, Balbooa Forms (though this CAN be done with a {shortcode plugin}, Ignite Gallery (again, available with {plugin} but syntax is not user friendly and the button allows that syntax to be built with dropdown menus and other choices instead), and many others. It seems that the Editors XTD section of buttons is a "standard" Joomla feature, as it exists in other editors, like TinyMCE, JCE, ARK Editor (I think), Drop Editor (I think).

Make sense?

By default, shortcodes are not used in Pages (SPPB) - so doesn't make sense now.:(

Paul - I know this. But note that this isn't JUST about shortcodes but is inclusive of it. I wasn't asking if it already does these things. I am asking for them to be added. Not having shortcodes AND not have Editor XTD buttons makes two features that are available in other editors not available in Page Builder. And as explained above, also now being included in another Page Builder is the XTD stuff. Other Page Builders (like JoomlaShine's for example) already had the option of using Read More and shortcodes - just not XTD.

The fact that these CAN be included in another Pagebuilder and if other editors tells me that there is anot a technical limitation in being able to do this.

So, the question is: Will JoomShaper look into adding these features or not?

Few users before you asked about this same, but personally, I cannot do anything to speed up.
For sure, in next days nothing will change... sorry. It's A Hard Life Facts.
