Event counter error?

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
Hi, I am working hard on the Vocal template for a festival in May 2015. I just realize that the counter has just stopped working and is displaying always the same message: "Event is over !", no matter which date is set. Please help me with this issue since my time for the job is so short.

Thank you in advance.

Meanwhile I found this: by changing line 209 within item.php (uncomment for locale ro_RO) then the counter is top working. When I comment again the line, the counter become "alive" again. I don't know how to fix this. Plese help.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,
make sure that your inserted event date is valid (not past) and date format is like this: 2015-12-19

here:
> 2015 - Year
> 12 - Month
> 19 - Day

- Thanks

Hi Rifat,

and thank you for your quick reply. Unfortunately everything was correctly set, exactly as your recommend.
Now, I tested a lot and I found the following: As long as I don't change the line 209 in index.php (shaper_vocal ▸ html ▸ com_k2 ▸ templates ▸ event ▸ item.php) for romanian localization, the counter seems to work perfectly. When I uncomment that line in index.php and make it like this:

setlocale(LC_ALL, 'ro_RO'); // for locale language time

the language is correct but the counter is stopped and says "The event is over". And I'm locked now since I must use a Romanian language within the site but I also need the counter to work. Please take a look and give me a solution.

Beside this, I also need to translate the homepage counter (SP_counter module), but the special fields for translation in admin area are not working at all. Please advice here too.

Thank you in advance.

alright replace this code in 'templates ▸ shaper_vocal ▸ html ▸ com_k2 ▸ templates ▸ event ▸ item.php' 209 - 218 no line:

setlocale(LC_ALL, 'ro_RO'); // for locale language time
$timestamp = strtotime($this->item->extraFields->Date->value);
//$edate = date('l, j F Y ', $timestamp);

$edate = strftime("%A, %e %B %Y", $timestamp);

$etime = $this->item->extraFields->time->value;

$today_date = date('Ymd');
$edate_formate = date("Ymd", strtotime($this->item->extraFields->Date->value));

Hi Rifat and thank you very much for your time & support.

I replaced the code but nothing changed. The counter still doesn't work and the language for the event is correctly translated.
If I comment first line (209), then the counter is working again, but the language for the event date goes back to English. I really hope to find together a solution since this is by far the biggest problem I have with your template.

Please also take a look at the front page counter module and suggest me a way to get a proper translation into Romanian language (I noticed that in the admin area, that module (SP Counter) is described as Joomla! 2.5 compatible: "Countdown module for Joomla 2.5 by JoomShaper.com". Is there a Joomla 3.x update?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,
Open following file: /templates/shaper_vocal/js/jquery.countdown.min.js Now search for day and days, you will get something like this:

labels:['Years','Months','Weeks','Days','Hours','Minutes','Seconds'],labels1:['Year','Month','Week','Day','Hour','Minute','Second']

change from here day, days or anything whatever you want.

- Thanks
