Fixed price

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
Hi.
How could I give a fixed price for a property;
I mean I dont want to give a price/m2. I want to give the total price for the property.
For example a property costs €150.000. If the property is 103 m2 how could I give the price / m2 when this field doesn't accept decimals. Or it is better to give €1456 /m2 and the total calculated by SP Property will be €149968. It is funny. You have to fix it.
It would be better to have 2 fields. One for the price/m2 and one for the total price and display the field(s) that have a value.

Hi,
fixed prices will be delivered in next update.
It's on our list to do on high position, many users asked.
Thanks.
I hope that it will be ready soon because like this your template is useless.
It would be better to calculate the (total price / m2 and find the cost per m2) than to multiply the (cost per m2 by the m2 to find the total).
By the way when you click on properties you should see the total price of the property and not the price by m2 or sqrf. This is another field you must change.
I want to use Estate for plots (for a land broker company). Land is a property too and Estate is for selling properties (not only houses i believe). You should have an option to add or remove the (i think it is in details menu) how many beds, baths etc. I want to sell land and if I let these fields empty an empty box is displayed in front end. Why?

Indeed, we didn't think about empty land creating this component.
It was built mostly for flats, homes, building etc. This was the main purpose.

Thanks. Ping me tomorrow like today, I should know something more "when"
Hi Paul.
This isn't only for land.
I could sell a warehouse or a construction or I don't want to check beds, baths, etc. Why this empty box should be there when there is no info.
And please think seriously the other 2 issues.

"It would be better to calculate the (total price / m2 and find the cost per m2) than to multiply the (cost per m2 by the m2 to find the total).
By the way when you click on properties you should see the total price of the property and not the price by m2 or sqrf. This is another field you must change."

For example when someone see the main properties page, he is interesting on the total price and not the price / m2. And I think it is easy to change the way that SP Property calculate the prices. In the price field you should ask the total price and then divide it by the m2. The total price must be a price without decimals !!!

In this week update very soon, we added only fixed prices and small improvements -- for whole rest you have to wait. Sorry, but as you know SP Property is one on many extensions. So we cannot put all away to focus only on it.

personally, I would prefer it to be a separate paid component. Then we would have more time for it.
Hi Paul.
I understand that you have many extensions to focus.
But when I saw in my emails your new template Estate you wrote that it is the best and the most complete real estate template. Then I bought a developer's subscription so I could use Estate and some other templates.
That means that I wanted something ready to work.
Of course I could wait for a week for the update, but I think it is not professional to release a template that cannot support right the basics for what it is supposed to do.
So, I am waiting...

Hi.Paul.
I checked it.
The links from properties list to a property details dont work.
I used the fixed price. But then in the price field you should remove the /sqrf . It should be only €150.000
And of course the thousand seperator must be . and not , .
As I wrote I cannot see the proprty detail page to check it.

Paul, even if I restore my site to the previous situation (before installing the RC version) I cannot see the property details page. I receive an 404 error.

It means that somehow you have damaged component database.

You have Estate template there?
If this is not production website, just install Quickstart again.
Or uninstall component and install again

I found the problem but I don't know how to fix it.
If I use properties as a menu item (SP property - properties) then it works.
But I wanted to have a page with more info and I created a Joomla Module (SP Property - Properties).
And I use it in a SP Pagebuilder Page as a Joomla Module.
Then it brokes all links.
Do you have any fix?

About "," or "." in UK, most of Europe and USA people use comma.

And how do they seperate decimals ?
See this page.
English as always are strange with metrics
https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19455-01/806-0169/overview-9/index.html
Normally we use . for thousands and , for decimals.

About module, you need have SP Property inside module anyway, so module can use link from it.
You can use hidden menu.

Prices, you mean fixed prices like in McDonald 5.99, 2.99
Not possible now. It's request rebuilding database. So probably not sooner than in v 3.2 or 3.3

Yes of course. The dot for thousands it is not absolutely necessary. But commas means decimals.
It would be great if you fix this because in a multilingual site it will be usefull.

But it is so simple.
Just don't do the calculations. Let the price fields be just texts and I will put in the numbers I want.
One field for Total Price and if you want one for price/m2 and it is done.
