Floox slideshow image too short?

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
My website is here: https://www.justadadphotos.com/

The site loads and the images are there. but on the right side, it is like 25 pixels too short and you can see the next slide.

If I resize the screen even just a tiny bit, it snaps to full screen just fine. Where do you think I can check to find out why this is not full screen to begin with?

Hi there,

I just added a new slider addon & kept the previous CSS code of your row settings. Besides, Uploaded images inside the slider. On the other hand, rearrange settings on the new slider.

Thanks

I see what is happening. My monitor is a 4k monitor so the window is longer than the homepage. But if the browser window is shorter than the website, then the scrollbar shows up on the right and obscures the second picture making it look normal.

I'm not sure what to say. I'm using Chrome on a Mac.

I am guessing most people won't notice the problem. I guess I just did because of how long my window is. (You saw it in my screenshot above, right?)

I guess there is nothing to be done.

Hi there,

Yes, I have checked the screenshot. But, you didn't tell me the size of your device & how did you check. Can we join the remote desktop using anydesk or Teamviewer application?

-Thanks

I'm going back through the thread and you didn't ask me the size of my device and how I checked. The screenshot shows a Chrome Browser and I did try it on Firefox and MS Edge as well (All windows). I have access to a Mac but I didn't think that relevant since three browsers on windows didn't work.

I'm not sure what you mean by size of my device, my monitor is 3440x1440 But I don't run the browser window that large. My browser window is: 1430x1356 Running Google Chrome

I'm available for a screenshare either late tonight after 10:30pm EST or next week after 6:00pm EST. I am not at home other times because I am working at my regular job.

Hi there,

Thanks for your feedback. You have provided a screenshot of which size is 780px width. That's why I ask you what's the device size.

In this way, I did check

Oh yeah. I had to reduce the size of the image to meet the 1MB upload limit.

The screenshot you show me above just now has the bottom of the web page longer than the height of the window so the scrollbar shows up on the right and hides the anomaly.

I have a vertical monitor here at work and used firefox to browse to the page again. I made the window extra long and you can see the anomaly. This time I put the screenshot on my site so you can browse to it directly.

https://www.justadadphotos.com/images/jad-shot.png

Ultimately, probably, not many people will have 4k monitors with long windows like me, right? Most people will be on phones.

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply. Please add this CSS code inside the custom.css file.

.creative-variation.sppb-slider-fullwidth-wrapper .sppb-slider-item-wrapper .sppb-slideshow-fullwidth-item .sppb-slideshow-fullwidth-item-bg {
padding-top: 242px;
height: 100vh;
}

I do not have a custom.css file in the template folder. In fact, when I load the page and look at page source, it doesn't reference a custom.css file.

Should I add it somewhere in the template settings or create a file somewhere that will get picked up?

Sorry, I want to get this right.

Well, I put it in the Custom Code section and I don't think this is what I want. It makes the image extend to the bottom of the viewable window. that is way too big. I just want it to expand to the right.the short number of pixels it needs to go. (but keep the aspect ratio, of course.)

Hi there,

Please remove the previous CSS code and please check your issue on iPad or tablet device. If you want to check it from the browser then inspect the element and check, please.

So you're saying to leave the code as it is originally, and it looks fine on an ipad or tablet. That is great. I guess what you're saying is, there is nothing to be done. Since it works fine on an ipad or tablet.

BTW, I don't own an ipad or a tablet to test this.

I'm trying to understand how viewing it on a tablet helps me with the problem with it on my monitor.

Are you telling me it works fine so I should just walk away? It clearly doesn't still work on my computer.

It's like we're going around in circles. Do you forget the beginning of the thread from one day to the next?! Does my video above not show anything or any of my multiple screenshots?!

I'm so glad it works on YOUR computer. I guess I'll assume everyone in the world has your setup.

This is useless!

Now we have circled back around to the iPad. No, I did not find any problem with the ipad. I also don't have a problem with mobile. Nor do I have a problem if the browser window is short.

But if the browser window is longer, the anomaly happens. THAT is my problem, that is what I wanted fixed. But you will likely next ask me to post another screenshot, or give me the above css code that doesn't fix the problem so I don't see why I should continue this.

It just seems like you are spending a lot of time trying to prove to me there is no problem with the template because it works on your computer and tablets.

But I have shown you screenshots from two of my computers that prove otherwise. So, I just don't know where we are. We are at a stalemate here.

Hi there, Add this css code inside the custom.css file and let me know.

.body-wrapper {
position: relative;
-webkit-transition: .5s;
transition: .5s;
right: 0;
backface-visibility: hidden;
overflow-y: hidden;
overflow-x: scroll;
}

Sorry, that didn't make any change other than putting a horizontal scrollbar at the bottom. I grabbed the screenshot mid transition.

Hi Thomas Deliduka Please check now. Thanks

Sorry, no changge for me. It looks the same. :-/ Perhaps it's just a browser glitch that always assumes a scrollbar? It is exactly the width of a scrollbar.

I apologize in one of my previous notes I said I was checking on a Mac, but I was checking on a PC.

You can also use Slideshow addon from SPPB, instead of default slider.

Notice in those videos, the bottom of the website is BELOW the window. You can see how you scroll down and up. When the bottom is below the window, the anomaly doesn't happen. This is what I've been trying to tell you.

When the website is SHORTER than the window, the anomaly happens!

I can do a team viewer but only when I'm home and likely not until next week. I am engaged every evening this week. I am on Eastern time so we'd have to coordinate our timezones.

You have a vertical scrollbar on the right. Your window height is shorter than the webpage. So it looks normal for you. If you tried a vertical monitor, or a large resolution monitor and extended the window longer than the webpage (so the white at the bottom is showing) then refresh, you will see the anomaly.
