front end editor results in "Uncaught ReferenceError: initialState is not defined" for home page only

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
Hi,

There are 9 Page Builder pages on this site, https://mavendesignstudio-demo.com/nichestemp/
but starting today I cannot edit the home page from the front end. This is new, as it was working before. Please see the screen shots: 1) the home that doesn't generate the editor, 2) a different page where the editor loads as expected.

SP Page builder is 3.5.0 and Joomla 3.9.10

I did read through the other posts about the front end editor not working but they don't describe the same problem. In this case, other pages load correctly.

Please advise. Thank you.

Hi there,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Please follow the instructions.

1. Export this page and create a new page, then import this page
2. Delete one by one section
3. Go to the override folder of your template (templates/your_template/pagebuilder/addons/)
4. Rename the page builder folder of override

I hope you will find out the solution

-Thanks
I need a little more guidance with your instructions please. My questions in bold next to the steps you suggested:

1. Export this page and create a new page, then import this page (I did this)
2. Delete one by one section (do you mean delete each section from the new page or old page?)
3. Go to the override folder of your template (templates/your_template/pagebuilder/addons/) (the template being used is Helix and there isn't a pagebuilder/addons directory. See attached screenshot)
4. Rename the page builder folder of override (don't know what to rename)

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply. Please follow my instructions & if you cannot find out anything. Please send me the Joomla administrator access via PM.

2. Delete one by one section (do you mean delete each section from the new page or old page?)
Ans: New page (Because this page testing for which section occurred the problem we need to find out)

-Thanks
OK, understood Toufiq.

I went through each section and deleted until I found the offending section. I discovered that it was because of using this inside the text: "{modal url="index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=47:counties-served&catid=2:uncategorised"}West-Central Indiana’s{/modal}"

The modal plugin is from Regular Labs. Even though it works, it breaks the frontend editing. Can you advise how this could be compatible?

Thanks,

Karen

Hi there,

Thanks for your reply. Sorry to say that, might be there is no possibility to make compatibility.

-Thanks
