frontend showing error 500 after insalling quickstart and updates

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
I installed spectrum quickstart and updated everything as instructed. However joomla couldn't upload the last SP update file (https://www.joomshaper.com/updates/com-sp-page-builder-pro.xml) and the frontend shows a 500 error message. The backend works... but informs me I should have newer PHP ( your server is using PHP 5.4.45 which is obsolete ...). I have PHP 7 (with OVH.com).
I installed spectrum template just before and the frontend was working.

I have installed 4 websites with Joomla before and never encountered such problems. Thank you for your help. Matt

PHP 5.6 is fully safe, so far.
with PHP 7.0.27 should be even better.

Hi Matt,
are you sure that you have set PHP 7 there?
which one 7.0.x or 7.1 or 7.2 ???

Please use PHP 7.0.x at the start. And check again.

Your membership doesn't allows you to update SPPB Pro.
Why? Read Pricing section again (faq)

Hello. I actually changed to PHP 5.6 and the frontend is working now. Is it going to be a problem to build the site on PHP 5.6.
