Google API Key - JS Error

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
Hi,

With SP Page Builder I have added the Ext. "Google Map" into my Contact page.

I have created a new API Key on Google Cloud Platform and also added into Joomla BE on SP Page Builder.

But the map doesn't appear: "Google Maps JavaScript API error: ApiNotActivatedMapError
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#api-not-activated-map-error"

But I have done everything correctly.

Pls find attached my screenshots.

Thank you for your support!

Rgs, Abdi

You can use:
1) Open Streets Maps addon, free maps, no credit card for Google required
2) Generate Google Map code and paste inside Raw HTML addon

as I said before, we are not Google Support to help more, they changed policy last year ( July 2018).

Hi again,

I have also to activate the Google JS API on Google Cloud Platform. But also after this step the Map will not displayed.

See also attached my screenshot.

I have also checked thes docu https://www.joomshaper.com/blog/the-easiest-way-to-add-google-maps-to-joomla-sites and I have done the same.

Hi,
we are not Google support, so please be so kind and do a simple test :
Install Phoca Map component put your keys there, then test map
if fail - it means that your JavaScript API key is wrong
if it would be OK there, let us know.

Hi Paul,

I have installed the Phoca Map and put the api key. Yes you're right it's still not working!

But I have done everything correct on Google.. Should I maybe generate a new key?
Or there si another way?

Yes, create a new JavaScript API Key

Contact with Google Support. It's beyond us.

Hi Paul

Ok thanks. But I think now why... I have to create a billing account with bank data etc. on my Google Cloud Platform. So it's for a fee! Buto I dont know how much etc.. That's weird!

Is there another way to embed my map for free? As html element maybe?

Hello to everybody!

I had alot of issues, and I write here what is missing after you create API Key, because this is just one step.
The second step is to go to:
API & Services /Dashboard , press the button +Enable APIS and Services
choose the 3rd box with " Maps Java script Api"
and then Enable.

Please check 2 images attached.

Working for me, in all websites!

Regards,

@Abdi
It's a question for Google, not for us. But the answer is simple, MONEY RULE THE WORLD, it's a businness.
We all had a free product for a long time, but since last year they changed that.
Still for free you can use Open Streets Maps, yes, we have that addon inside.
