Helix3 doesn't send email

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
I took over this site built on the Helix3 template. From Global Configuration send test email does not work. Forms generated from a Contacts page do not send email. No errors, just no email received. I installed a different Joomla web site I recently built in a directory on the problem site and it does send mail correctly, so I do not think it is a hosting issue.

You can view the site here: http://www.clear-lakechamberofcommerce.com and I can provide ftp and admin access.

From Global Configuration send test email does not work.

This part is from Joomla code itself, no relation to our code. Not at all.

About Joomla contact component used by you on "Contact" page
It wasn't overridden by our template, as well.

So I guess, you have to ask on the official Joomla Forum.
There are tons of similar topics there with answers.

just as a follow up, I installed a fresh copy of Helix3 quick start in a test directory, and it does not send email either. A completely different Joomla site that I had also uploaded to a test directory does send email correctly.

So install Helix Ultimate Quickstart for test purposes.
Remember to update Joomla inside, always.

Playing Helix3 in 2020 it doesn't make sense, really. It's like Windows 8, if you know what I mean..
