How does the newsletter work?

I was trying to get around this feature to make it work
Is this the code I need to change?

Of course not,
but like any other must be configured right (!)

I guess you know that "[email protected]" - is dummy email and you have to change it.
Check also settings in Global configuration as well.

Hi,
in this template it was "fake" field. In all later templates we used real component+module.
Please install Acymailing Starter (free) and put there a module from it.

Is the contact form a 'fake' as well? Im getting a mail delivery error when testing it:
SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<[email protected]>

It was a bit hard to find the right place where to configure the module
Just need to get used to Joomla 3 more
