How to add a row in mega menu on Helix3?

Featured Lock Resolved Task
I have created a mega menu with 7 2nd level submenu-items. I chose the 4 column layout and the first 4 lists are showing ok.

Now I would like to create an extra row of 4 columns, to show the remaining 3 items. How can this be done?

Hi,
In Helix3 it wasn't possible from settings. Only in Helix Ultimate is easy.

In Helix3 you have to design your own layout (pattern) for MegaMenu (template file customization)
then you would be able to have an extra structure here

OR
Try to customize that premade layout

I am not a developer of this products so I can give you only basic tips where to search.
For sure edit that:
plugins/system/helix3/fields/menulayout.php
You can also check that
plugins/system/helix3/assets/images/megamenu/ (preview block image files only)

Thanks Paul,

I have been looking into this.
First of all I tried to customize the pre-made layout. I duplicated the list item in menulayout.php (so I would expect an extra instance of the item in the 'choose layout' modal). This does not work.

Also, I think there is more to this.
Could you ask a developer to look into this?

Maybe he could explain how and where to edit files to adjust the pre-made layout?
I can imagine there are more Helix3 users who would want this.

Thanks,
Maurice

sorry, but Helix3 doesn't receive any new features anymore.
All developers are busy with J4 (It's painful for me as well), maybe ask your friends.

Hi Paul,

Thanks.

Just to make myself clear; I was not asking for a new feature for Helix3.
I am just asking for a bit of support on how to change the code, to keep us happy with an existing Helix3 site.

I hope there is some news on this topic? It has been about 6 months now...

Sorry, I doubt. Developers work to improve Helix Ultimate, not the Helix3 framework.
So you have to consider another solution.
