How to add Joomla article into a SP Page Builder page

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
Hi, i use the page builder with the Helix Template, the component works fine, you make a great job!

I have some questions about the addons / handling

1. I cant find a addon to put existing joomla articles to a existing page builder site.
2. In the existing page builder site Home i cant remove the button in the call to action section. I try it with blank, but i cant remove it
3. In the shaper_helix3 template i can remove or adjust all social items, but the Twitter url i cant remove.

I hope you can help.

Sorry for my english

Hi Ralf,

Could you do me a favour and create separate threads: one - for your #2 and another one - for your #3?

To use a Joomla article inside your page built via SP Page Builder please use either the "Raw HTML" or "Text Block" add-ons.

Regards,

Alex

P S Please create informative and descriptive titles for your threads. Many thanks in advance.

Currently there is no add-on to link or even embed existing J! core content articles... :o :(

Workaround and Tips: ;)

  1. Use the AddOn "Joomla Module" and a 3rd-party module, which allows to select and place J! articles. (There are numerous modules in the JED, but many of them have to be updated for Joomla3+. The only compatible one without serious errors seems to be "Article Placed Anywhere"
  2. The most flexible solution is Articles Anywhere by NoNumber.nl (even the free version is quite powerful, hence the pro if you need to show multiple articles, articles by categories, by tags, with wildcards etc.)

The latter plugin solution works on the whole page output! Which means, you can really go crazy and put the plugin shortcodes in ANY pagebuilder text input field i.e. row and section titles, subtitles, addon title, text addon etc. Basically, you can layout the article from scratch.

Some Drawbacks: :(

  • You can also place the J! core article images separately, but the documentation lacks this important info?! Keywords are {image-intro} and {image-fulltext}. HeadsUp: Current v3.8.4 does not support those keywords with article ID. You might have to use article title or alias instead!
  • Manual input of the plugin Syntax. The NoNumber editor XTD button is not available in PageBuilder. I have checked the AddOns which supply a text field with WYSIWIG editor.
  • @JoomShaper Please, show Editor XTD buttons!

(edit on 27th March: Keyword info and small bug in ArticlesAnywhere!)

Sorry but I am not sure I understand your question. What exactly are you trying to achieve?

I have wondered about this problem too. It seems to me that the native Joomla article database is outside of what happens in SP pagebuilder.

The only way I have "solved" the problem is copying and pasting articles out of native Joomla articles into a text box in sp pagebuilder. Using "Articles" in sp pagebuilder I have had no luck, seemingly cannot even control which articles it selects and the columns it creates, found I had to delete all that.

Perhaps some automation can be built into SP Pagebuilder on an update to move or use articles in native Joomla articles? Live in hope anyway unless I have missed elsewhere a solution to this problem.

There is an Addon for insert articleS, but there does not seem to be one to just insert a single article.
I still assume, im just overlooking something, because the possibility to insert a single article seems like a no-brainer, but i just cannot find it.

Pls help, i cannot find it or confirm that there really isn such a possibility.
Thanks

Unfortunately, you are right. There is no such feature.
Even Joomla core has no single (full) article display module. Nor any plugin.

Hence my previous comment with kinda workaround and creative ideas... ;)
