How to Assign Non-Default Site Template to Pagebuilder Page?

Featured Lock Resolved
I have two different templates for two different areas of my site. I need to assign a different template to the pagebuilder page that I've created. Right now, I've created a menu item that points to the pagebuilder page and has the correct template assigned. But when I try to do any front-end page editing, it reloads into the default template, which is incorrect (and isn't as wide as the pagebuilder page, so I can't edit it at all from the front end). Is there a way to assign a site template to a pagebuilder page ? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
it's how Joomla works with components.
Probably you have to write addcional custom plugin which will switch template for selected subpages.

well when i have assigned a template to a regular joomla article via menu and i hit "edit", it opens the page in the correct template. Shouldn't page builder work that way as well? Why doesn't it use the same template to edit the page as it uses to display the page?

In theory yes, I will ask our developer until v3 is still under development.

This is still quite an issue for us, and we aren't able to do any front-end editing at all as we can't edit pagebuilder pages (created via article manager) in the correct template. Is this a functionality of V3 (PLEASE SAY YES!!)

Oh brother I thought it was going to be in version 3. You must realize this is a big problem. I'm wondering if there is someplace I could tweak the code to use the menu-assigned template for front-end editing. :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
