How to change the placeholder image

Featured Lock Resolved Task
I just purchased the STRINGS template.
How can I change the placeholder image "home-top-cat-bg.jpg" with my own?
Is it necessary to have a "home-top-cat-bg.jpg" and a "home-top-cat-bg.png" too?
My site is "http://www.tedmoon.de".

Thanks - Manfred

1) Cool "Sand and Sky" music, trendy.

2) It looks that image set the first row is broken.
Can you upload again, and choose it.

Hi Paul,
thanks for the answer. I have deleted all images in the first row. The shown grey image 1920x830 came with the buyed template. How and where can I change this placeholder image?
When I reach the left corner above with the cursor...the green marked frame disapears. TedMoon Edit.jpg

Thanks - Manfred

You have two options:
1) Create a empty Row above, only for time of editing the current one.
2) Edit that page from back-end editor

My preferred image should be behind the Menu and across the entire width of the screen.
Please can you help me.
Thanks - Manfred

How can I change the place-holder-iamge image by slides with a module ?

I have installed a module to mage the slides, but it seems like the template position "Slide" is not working. And the slides don't appear on the website.

Can you help me please ?

Yawo, to use template positions first you have to add them into the layout (!)
not all are active by default.

Template Options > Layout > create a new Row and choose module position.
