How to control Hero Section Background Image Height in OneClip - AppLanding template

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
How do you control the 'hero section' background image height ?

I have replaced the default Hero Area/section 'row' within the OneClip - AppLanding template but in doing so I am finding that the default height of the Hero Area is about 200px shorter than your live website demo of the template.

I have attached 2 screenshot to illustrate the difference between my use of the template and your live demo with dimensions indicated with Firebug.

My background image is set at 1600px by 816px so it is comparable to the placeholder grey image from the template. Does it need to be bigger?

Hi there

There is no option to control the height. You can reduce the image height to adjust it.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for the 'feedback'. That's logical enough. Nonetheless, there is something funny going on in all the variations of the home/one page for the OneClip template. Hence my query above.

I would like to point out that all the variations of OneClip template appear to have a bug in the hero area.

As concerns the Corporate variation, I have placed 3 slide images in the SP FullWidth Slider and the height is shifting about 10px or 2px + up / down between transitions (refer to screenshots and will see that my text letter's move up / down a bit between shots. Each is a screenshot of a different slide after transition. Because the Corporate Slider has Overtext above shifting the row below hero area, it is really noticeable! Now since it is the same image I have used - one can conclude there is something funny going on.

Hence could you look into this because the other variation of the home one page for the OneClip template I was interested in using - 'the App Landing' - has a bug in it as well. With the former the bug is in the sticky header shifting up and down. That was confirmed by your colleague in another forum conversation I raised.

Now 2 variation out of 3 with a bug and no ETA of update/fix doesn't make for easy pickings / worry free designing.

I understand these things happen but not sure how this bug wasn't picked up as it is so evident and I am very annoyed to say the least ! Like you I have to do acrobatics to find lateral solutions (well hopefully you don't have to be too lateral) because it is too late as concern my options to go with another template to build my website project on.

Releasing something buggy defeats your product's service, no?!

Kind regards

Hi,

Apologies for the late reply but I was caught up in the production of my other pages. Anyway at the time my site was offline. I lost soooo much time with the hero slider image height issues and the sticky menu problems! Happy to share website url by private message if you want to confirm that height issue has gone because I don't think so.

I attach 2 screenshots where I have placed my website over your demo template website and you will be able to notice there is a background image height variation.

I replaced the placeholder background image dimensions with a real image of the same dimensions - so I am a bit perplexed as how the height thing is working.

I would have loved to make my slider height taller but since the template height behaviour is not stable I am handicapped in being able to experiment with different size background images. Note I am not using a foreground image as my design did not require it.

If you can explain the background image dimensions on the slider height display behaviour that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your support and ensuring your products work.
