how to get rid of grid surrounding menu items??

Featured Lock Resolved
Hi all, this is a fantastic template, and free! I would just like to be able to get rid of the grid surrounding menu items.

In addition to this, is there a way of making the "logo" background transparent eg show through body background?? as I tried a transparent png but it still came through as white.... photo showing the menu grid and also white background on header/logo

By grid, do you mean the white border?
Use Firefox's firebug or Chrome's Inspector to point correct css style that affecting any desired item.

You also can use
something {background:transparent!important}
to get rid of any background/ background image

Am still struggling with the background of the header/logo area. I have set it all the transparent, in an attempt to show through the body background but it isnt working!!!!

here is the header css code from template.css
/*Header Area*/
#header {position:relative;background:transparent !important}
a#logo,#logo-text{float:left;margin:0 10px}

a#logo{background:transparent !important}

#logo-text h1{font-size:200%;font-weight:bold;text-transform:uppercase;border:0!important;margin:10px 0 0!important;padding:0!important}

#logo-text h1 a{}

here is the url for the site (using two versions of the same theme)

I hope you can help me!
