Installing SP Page Builder on a template that wasn't built with it

Featured Lock Resolved Issue

I have a template which I love, but it wasn't built on Helix or with SP Page Builder. Is it possible to install and use SP Page Builder? And is there anything special I need to do to use it? Does it require Helix?

yes it's possible, because SP Page Builder is "just" a component.
If your template is based on bootstrap 3 it's even better, easier.
Many users use it on Gantry, JA and other frameworks with success.

Thanks Paul.

I installed it, and created a test page and menu item for the test page. However, the page can't be found… defaults to 404n page.

Any suggestions?

404 is from Joomla, when Joomla cannot find component view.
Make blonde test:

1) Are you able to preview Page in admin ? what you see.
2) Set different template as default (Prostar) and check again.

It will allows you to found source of problem.
