Hi there,

Sorry but, at least for the foreseeable future, we are not planning to release SP Page Builder API.

Ok I misunderstood the feature on the SP Page Builder Homepage. "Create your own add-ons and easily use inside component to improve list of available features.".

Is it possible to use a template override to change the existing addons?

Hi there,

Actually, you were right. We do have 'Custom Addons' section on SP Page Builder home page. I just never come across this question before, hence am a wee bit behind in my product knowledge. Apology.

Would you mind we get back to this in a week time, after 30-th? I need to refer custom addons creation to our core team but they are away at Eid celebrations till 30-th. Is it OK?

Alex

Hi

I have actually requested a refund because SP page builders wysiwig editor can't add tables, which is an essentiual part of my build. I only have a week left on my deadline for this project so I am going to have to go with a different page builder. Thanks for your help anyway.

Hi there,

Do you think you could give as a few days, at least - till 30-th of this month, which is just a few days? I would like to refer your question on how to create your own custom SP PB add-on to our core team but they are away for a short festival. So, if you please bear with us and then, comes Wednesday, we'll see what exactly can be/can not be done for you? Is it OK?

Alex

Ok. Someone has finally got back to be aout the missing tables functionality so if I can get that implemented I will be happy to keep using this extension.

Did you think of creating your tables under JCE editor and then borrowing their HTML code and pasting it into SP Page Builder's "Row HTML" add-on? I reckon it should work.

Sadly not. Not to mention that is a really counter intuitive way to simply add tables, but the reason why I got this extension is because my client is adding all the content so I want it to be as straight forward as possible.

Another user has given me a temperary solutions which involves editing the helper.js file.

Could I request that the table option be added to the text block editor or a new table addon be added in the next update of JSN Pagebuilder.

@fever,

Apology for the delay and thank you for your patience.

I've just had a chat with one of our core developers, so indeed to create a custom add-on for SP Page Builder one would need PHP/SQL skills. It can not be done under SP PB GUI, I am afraid.

Alex

Hi there,

Just a courtesy update: we started work on writing a document on how to create a SP PB custom add-on, which hopefully will be ready within a week or two. I'll let you know here once it is published.

Hi

Thanks a lot for the update. I appreciate it will take a while to put together the documentation, but would you be able to point to where in the file structure the blocks are defined. I would also like to be able to override existing blocks and remove other blocks. Would that be possible to do without it breaking when I next update the component?

Is there any update on the documentation about how to build a custom add-on?
