Issues with News - II on Joomla! 1.7.3

Featured Lock Resolved
I just sat up News - II on Joomla! 1.7.3, and I ran into a few issues that I cannot figure out how to fix the issues.

One, when I add the SP News Highlighter to the Highlighter position in the template it makes the date that is up in the left hand corner in the header smaller than 10 pt font. Thats the font size set in the CSS sheet. When I change the size in the CSS sheet it has no impact on changing the size. If I remove the module then the date changes back to the orignal size that it is set in the CSS sheet.

Second, when I add a menu item to the main menu with sub items under the menu item the sub menu items do not appear at all. I made sure that the sub menu items are published. I also checked the settings in Helix, and didn't see anything where it would turn the sub menu items off. Also, I checked the Main Menu module, and made sure that the sub menu items display is turned on there as well.

It will be better if you can drop your url here.

I got the sub menu items to display, I just cannot get the menu to display in dropline mode. I see that in your quickstart pack that you are having the same issues with the date with SP Highliter, and that if you change the menu style to dropline in Helix that it doesn't change the menu style in the quick start pack either.

Is there a fix for these issues?

You can change the menu type from the template parameter. After change the style please clean your browser cookies.

Ok, so what about the other issue with SP Highliter and the date on the template?

Also, I tried what you suggested to fix the menu drop down, and clearing the browsers cookies did no good.

I have decided to go a different direction with my website.
