JCE 2.8.0 RC 19 Joomla buttons not included in stand alone SP Page Builder

Featured Lock Resolved Bug
Hi there,
I am testing JCE 2.8.0 RC 19 in SP Page Builder. This of course a Release Candidate, but it will be released shortly.

Under the JCE Editor there are normally a number of Joomla buttons, that I can use to insert e.g. a document with Edocman.

In the new version there is the option of including these buttons in the "kitchen sink" via a button with the Joomla logo (BTW: this is a feature that is inherited from TinyMCE.) Here you can see how it works: On the left you see the Joomla logo. Click on it and you see the insert buttons for a number add-ons.

When I use SP Page Builder in the Article Editor (Back end menu > Content > Articles > New Article) this button is available when I want to add it in a text block:

However, when I go to the SP Page Builder from the backend menu (Back end menu > SP Page Builder), I don't see the button when I want to add it in a text block.

How can I change this? My authors and publishers need the button to be there, so they can insert e.g. a document from Edocman.

If I cannot change this, how are you going to make it available and how long is that going to take?

Thank you for your time,

Thom

Hi,
I hope you understand that we are NOT JCE editor developer.
so I guess, wrong support forum. Ask Ryan.

Hi there,
I appreciate that you are not JCE, but you ARE responsible for the integration of an editor in SP Page Builder. Ryan tells me that this is an integration problem that applies to the integration of both JCE and TinyMCE.

Can you explain why SP Page Builder in the Joomla article editor (JCE or TinyMCE) can show the extra button, but SP Page Builder "stand alone" cannot? Surely this is something on the SP Page Builder side of things and not on the editors' side!

I would appreciate a bit more effort on your part, instead of giving a knee-jerk response of saying it is someone else's fault. I cannot imagine that I am the only one who runs into this, if not now (while JCE 2.8.0 RC 19 is still in RC stage) then it will be a problem when JCE 2.8.0 Stable is released.

Thank you,

Thom

I know that the ping-pong game is not what we both like.
so I will try to ask our developer what we can do in the near future (but not in next days).
That's all I can do in that case.
