Hi there,

I am not agreed with you to change the Joomla core files. But, you can follow this process. But, while you have made update the Joomla it will reset again.

components/com_fields/layouts/field/render.php
Find out the php code

<span class="field-label"><?php echo htmlentities($label, ENT_QUOTES | ENT_IGNORE, 'UTF-8'); ?>: </span>

And replace with this code

<span class="field-label"><?php echo htmlentities($label, ENT_QUOTES | ENT_IGNORE, 'UTF-8'); ?> </span>

-Thanks

Yes, you can override the default render in your template's HTML folder... or create alternative layouts as well. It's also possible to override a certain field type plugin. i.e. only the text field plugin.

BTW, If you place your fields inside the article content through the editor XTD button... you can also add the alternative layout filename! See fields content plugin description for correct syntax.

Hope this helps.

components/com_fields/layouts/field/render.php

Little headsup: Do not change the core files.
Always use overrides or alt-layouts.

Can you explain me how i create a override for that?

If you want to change it for ALL fields, you can follow the usual joomla override method. It is even possible in backend: See this "german" article and screenshot under headline "Overrides verwenden". https://www.dev-insider.de/custom-fields-in-joomla-37-a-615010/

You can also use more specific overrides. Info can be found on youtube. There are some "dev" and feature presentations made by Allon Moritz.

This feature is not ready to override.

I am confused! I don't understand your comment.
THIS is a standard J! core feature. It has all the usual override features and even more.

Hi, Please check the screenshot.

So what? As you can see on the right hand side: com_fields
Just click it to reveal the field or fields layouts. Click again to create a (global) override for ALL fields.
Currently, this is the only "user interface" method.

As I mentioned earlier, you can also create specific overrides for each component, too. (manually)
Alt-layouts work as well. They can be used in content plugin syntax as optional parameter.
In templates you have to specify it in your code. (gets a parameter in J!3.9/10 !)

Apart from that, you can even override the field plugin itself. For instance: All TEXT fields. It allows to change the markup around your "value".

Hope this helps.
