k2 edits:no changes appearing on front end

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
Hi. I have become a paid up member and have installed the news365 template with quickstart content. However, when I edit, publish or un-publish any item using k2 no changes show on the front end of the website. I have even unpublished everything and all content still shows up on the front end despite clearing cache and even waiting 24 hours to see if it was a cache problem.

Basically I cannot edit and save using k2, cannot unpublish, cannot stop dummy content appearing. So all the dummy data still appears and none of my edits.

What trick am I missing?

PS Site is joomla 3.8.3, running on php 7.1, all modules/plugins up-to-date.

Any chance you can look today? Like now? I'm almost at the point where I am going to have to scrap non working joomshaper products as I need to get a production website going now as a matter of urgency and I don't have the luxury of time.

Cheers.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I am not able to open your site URL from my end. Besides, please don't public your credential.

-Thanks

Your email was a noreply email not accepting email back and this site doesn't have private conversation option (at least from what I can see without spending time I don't have looking for it) and I don't have your direct email, what was I supposed to do to answer your request for login details?! The site only has the quickstart data plus some small inconsequential edicts so if someone malicious was to sneak in I would have deleted the database and files and reinstalled the whole of the quickstart package again.

The url

http://www.isospray.com/administrator/

will take you there, just tested it now, plus the login I gave you previously works.

Good luck

I see your problem, I am now getting this failed dns problem as well, I accept this has nothing to do with you or joomshaper.com. I will investigate and resolve the problem and get back to you, clearly if you can't get to the website you can't do anything yet!

I now have the website back up and running. Please try again.

The reason the site went down? Under rules by ICANN Registrar Accreditation Agreement you now have to verify the contact email address you provide for the domain to the registrar within a certain time limit otherwise the DNS are suspended to stop it resolving to a website. Apparently I was out of time but did not know it and this happened today of all days!

Hi Toufiq

Can you give me an answer on this one please? The site is up and I need to make a decision to either carry on with 365News template or start over with something else, website has to be working by the weekend for a campaign that is starting (the website is being publicised at a show this weekend) and I need time to load content that gets published! That probably just means I have just one day to add content for a live site, another 36 hours session looming!

Thanks

Hi,

The k2 article under k2 menu and others article come from the Joomla article.

For front-end editing k2 article

1. Go to groups and make sure there is a group with Site Owner as it's user level.
2. Go to K2 users and find your profile edit it and select Site Owner as the User Type.
3 Go to the front end of the site and make sure you are logged in, on category views and on the articles you will see a grey box with a link to front-end edit.

-Thanks

Hi Toufiq

Basically I can just edit everything from Joomla core articles? Rather than from K2 which seems just another complication for a single user. Unpublishing and editing in joomla native articles does the job and I now have control over website content from there!

Not sure I followed your advice on setting up site owner, as a site joomla super user surely that overrides everything else? What is K2 giving that native joomla articles isn't?

Hi there,

The Joomla content you can edit easily. Because of that, it comes from Joomla native article. Besides, K2 is third party extension that's why i have shared the process of editing k2.
