Kunena Forum does not work with Wayne Template

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
I installed the Kunena Forum extension under the Wayne template and presentation of the forum UI is out. When i installed the forum under plain vanilla, the presentation works fine. There were other extensions such SCLogin which appears have the same problem. Need your advise on :

(1) Why does the extension fail with Joomshaper's templates?
(2) Is Joomshaper's templates deviate completely from the base standards of Joomla?

How do i resolve this issue? If your answer is going to be "we cannot address other third party extension issues" as you have stated in previous occasion involving Falang, then would i be right to assume that Joomshaper's templates are incompatible with non-Joomshaper's templates and non-conforming to basic standards of established by Joomla?

Hi,
we cannot support all 7000 extensions from JED, also as Chris said you, it uses different bootstrap styles.
---
Much more trusted extension would be EasyDiscuss, which we use as well.

Kunena I think is built on BootStrap 3 - I had issues with it on any newer BootStrap 4 template base, even on older BootStrap 3 templates it's a pain in the neck though better.

I use Kunena on a couple of websites and will never use it again, it is such a nightmare with bugs and issues all through, and the 'support' is useless, as a free extension it is expected that you know enough yourself to fix things...

You can try playing around with the template options from Kunena, and the template settings and config settings to see which on/off switches for BootStrap may help, though I have given up trying to resolve some errors with it, and next time will go for a paid forum from someone such as StackIdeas which I have never had issues with any of their products inside JoomShaper templates that their support has not sorted out very quickly.

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your advise. I will seek other solutions or, alternatively, find a more compliant template.

Please close this request.

Hi Chris,

I have tried a few more forum extensions (Kunena, Cobalt, Chronoforum) and all of them seem to fail, like Kunena, with all your templates. I even tried with Helix Ultimate template and the forum extensions failed there too. I guess your Helix template does not comply to Joomla Standards. Its ok, i will advise all my developer group and associates to skip Joomshaper templates and seek other alternatives products if they need forum extensions.

Please close this question as unacceptable answer.

I suspect EasyDiscuss will be fine - I don't blame JoomShaper, I blame the forum extension providers, Kunena for example, seems run by people who are completely uninterested in anyone's issues or what features they want. Any time I have looked for help, it has been a waste of my time.

Kunena earns on their own templates, so it's part of their business.

Hi Chris,

Thank you for the kind reply. Then, may be, could you explain why the Cobalt forum has the same problem? Honestly, after checking it out, these extensions work except that the presentation is being is messed by Joomshaper's templates. I have tried with Quik templates and they work just as fine.

Hi Chris,

Even the Joomla articles presentation are messy under the Wayne template. Please refer to the attachments. Appreciate your explanation/advise.

Also the fluid feature in the templates make things worse.

Thank you.

I often find issues with free extensions...I can't comment on Cobalt I'm afraid.

Hi Chris,

Thank you for the reply. Its nothing to do with free extensions and, besides, mine is a paid extension. Its simply that Joomshapers templates seem to be incompatible with Joomla's standard architecture. Our group parent company has placed your templates (not sure if all your products as well) in "High Risk - To Be Avoided" category.

I have the Kunena forum working using a workaround and it now works great. Thank you.

Care to share the workaround for the rest of us?

Hi Chris,

The workaround is really simple. I activate the joomla default template for this Kunena menu items instead of the Joomshaper's Wayne template. It works great and it also my site a flare of change.
