Links are not working properly

Featured Lock Resolved
When I link an image to an article like this "about.html" the link goes here instead "/7-homepage-rotator/4-rotator-about.html". I have tried linking text and images to articles and menu items and then all are doing this. I tried turning off SEF links too.

When you click a link in the module a duplicate of the slider content shows up underneath and then the links in that work. Has anyone seen this behavior?

I'd love to use this module for the site that I'm building for a client. Its really elegant and does everything I need it to do.

this is a Joomla 1.7 site

I think this is not a bug but its actually how this component functions. The content in the banners cannot be linked to other articles as far as I can tell. Any link to another article will be routed back to an expanded version of the same article that is in the banner. That's why my large graphic headers are showing up twice on the same page. Once in the header module position and once in the article.

I have looked through the Joomla Extensions library for a content rotator that will simply allow me to add images and HTML with links and rotate them like Free Slider SP1and I have come up with nothing. They all seem to work under the assumption that the banner should always be part of the target page or they are just simple image rotators. Its unfortunate since this really it restricts how this can be used. I need to be able to target other articles and also I need to be able have a single banner that can have more than one link. One of my clients has a graphic that has two buttons in one banner. I was going crazy trying to add links to the images or image maps. Nothing worked.
