Logo is Hidden in all views on Startup Biz

Featured Lock Resolved Issue
I have uploaded a 70px tall image (same as the Div containing it) to the Logo area in the template editor. In the Layout page have ensured that the LOGO position is unchanged, and have not selected "Hidden on Tablet" (or mobile, or desktop.) I cannot see the logo on any screen size.

Hi Jacon,

What happens if you select any other image, for example, one that comes with Joomla installation?

Regards,

Alex

If I select any other image, it does not appear. If I select no image, the default template image appears, and the display is "block" rather than "none."

If I select Text rather than Image, that works properly.

Alex, I have sent you the login credentials for your review.

For now, I have remedied the issue with some CSS in the "custom code" tab of the template editor. Ultimately, I don't want CSS hard-coded into the index.php, but I'm the sort of guy who can't move on, so this is the temporary fix:

#sp-header .sp-default-logo {
display: block;
height:90%;
}

Please let me know if you come to a conclusion on why the logo isn't rendering.

Thanks.

Hi Jason,

Your image logo displays as well just fine without that custom code, purely on the out of the box styles. Mind you, I didn't play with trying to replicate its disappearance on your site so can not comment for you as to how it happened.

Alex

It has happened to me again, and it appears that the issue is in your template.css file on line 1451, where the display is set to "none."

I have installed a clean installation of Joomla 3.4.3, installed Startup (template only) and SP Page Builder free.

I upload a PNG file of the logo (do not add a retina or mobile logo) and the stock Startup logo disappears and nothing takes its place:

Hi Jason,

Are you talking about the same web-site, which URL you PMed me two months ago? If yes, then I can see your custom logo just fine, with "display" CSS property set to "block", please see my screenshot attached below.

If no, please send me once again your web-site super admin login to have a look around. Your Joomla denied my attempt to login onto the back end with the credentials you sent me two months ago.

Regards,

Alex

Alex -

It is a different website, but perhaps user error on my part. Must a logo be uploaded for all three categories - "regular", retina, and mobile? I had initially uploaded only one to the standard logo upload, reasoning that I didn't have a higher-res image for the "Retina" logo. Because my screen is high res (and my mobile is, of course, mobile) the iste was trying to exclusively display that logo and not defaulting to the standard logo upload - I suppose? It wasn't initially clear, but not sure why that wasn't my first effort to resolve.

Thanks again for your time.

Hi Jason,

I'd say, it depends on an individual logo. For some, the same logo would display across all the viewing devices just gracefully, for others, like yourself, - would not. That's why we left it open to you, guys, decide.

Regards,

Alex
